The Perfect Afternoon Snack in Soho

I live walking distance from Soho and often enjoy a weekend afternoon of shopping and strolling in that very popular neighborhood. But the w0rld class shopping is only secondary to world class dining at Balthazar, one of the most consistent and beloved french bistros in New York City. It is always packed and while dinners there have always been fond memories, a morning or lunctime meal there really can't be beat.

I could write tomes about Balthazar, but here's the bottom line: for me, there is nothing better than an afternoon snack of a classic Manhattan with the Balthazar chicken liver and foie gras mousse. Perfectly grilled bread accompany a smooth pate of goodness with some simply dressed frisee. What more does a girl need after that?

OK, maybe some Prada shoes and a Chanel dress...belly full, it's onwards to more shopping!
