Milk and Cookies. Enough Said.

Need a snack while you're walking around Greenwich Village? Check out Milk and Cookies on Commerce street, just off the hustle and bustle of 7th Avenue near Bleecker Street. This place is the Magnolia Bakery of cookies, only way better and with no lines. It does cookies right, using the finest ingredients and concocting the most interesting flavors like Dark Chocolate Toffee and Chocolate Mint. Old standbys like Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin are especially delicious, moist and soft (I like my cookies this way). They aren't stingy with the ingredients here so you won't have a hard time finding a chip or raisin in every bite. And the perfect beverage? An ice cold glass of Ronnybrook Farms organic milk of course. Even better, you can get ice cream sandwiches here year round, made with their own fresh baked cookies and gelato from Il Laboratorio Del Gelato. You can design your own from a variety of flavors or pick from a list of their creations. Last time I went, I got a Sweetheart: Chocolate Chip Cookies with Strawberry Ice Cream and my friend chose the Grasshopper: Chocolate Mint Cookies with Mint Ice cream (both below).

You can order dozens to go for parties, get them delivered, order them online. There are also cakes, brownies and other specialty cookies. Yeah, baking cookies with friends and family in the comforts of your own home can be fun and satisfying. But sometimes, it's good to leave it all to someone else.
